call for entry - deadline April 30

Yeiser Art Center, a non-profit visual art center located in downtown Paducah, Ky., is now accepting submissions for its annual international juried photo exhibition entitled Art Through the Lens (formerly known as Paducah Photo).  

This year's juror is Sarah Sudhoff, executive director at the Houston Center for Photography. Artists may submit up to 4 photographic images, $10 per submission. $2,000 in cash awards will be given. All photo-based imagery created through photographic processes is eligible including non-lens made images. Exhibition runs June 20 - August 1, 2015. Entries are now submitted solely online through CallforEntry.org

Deadline for submissions is April 30, 2015.

UO competition with $250 prize

The Knight Library is hosting a digital wallpaper design contest.  The winning entry will be displayed as the default desktop image on all UO computers.  The winning designer will receive 250.00

Here is the formal announcement:

If you're a UO student and have a great idea for a digital wallpaper design for desktop computers in  the UO Libraries and its labs, mock it up and submit it to the University of Oregon Libraries’ Digital Wallpaper Competition. The competition is open to all current University of Oregon students.

The designer of the winning entry will receive $250—and the satisfaction of seeing your wallpaper used as the background for more than 700 computers in Knight Library, branch libraries, and campus computer labs managed by the library.
